a
What do you shoot with? What do you shoot on?
We shoot on Nikon D70s Digital. We also shoot on 35mm film: Fujicolor Professional (color), Ilford Professional (Black and White) and Kodak Portra Professional (C41 Black and White). Myracleworks Pictures uses all Nikon photo equipment and lenses, SanDisk Ultra II CF cards, Smith-Victor lights. All images are digitally scanned (or entered) and corrected in Photoshop before release.
How long for film processing? Do I get a proof sheet? What about digital?

We very rarely shoot on film any more. All digital images are checked right there with the client to ensure that the client only received images they can use. If we shoot on film, film processing takes 1-2 days. Professional Black and White takes an additional day. Rush fees are covered by the customer, if a rush is requested. - We process our photos at Isgo Lepijian. Developing delays and time are all subject to delays at the lab.

Proof sheets are only performed on request, as we prefer 4x6 prints for shot selection. Digital shoots are all rendered on CD for electronic proof sheet generation. Any shoot performed on digital, the client will receive mages shot on CD.

How do you archive images?
All useable, marketable images are archived in digital format, saved as a .jpeg file, allowing us to serve you an image in virtually any size and in any format. Blurred, distorted or otherwise unusable images are not retained and deleted. We maintain an archive of over 800 GB of storage, handling every photo shoot we conduct. If you lose your photos or delete them, we'll provide new copies free of charge for life.
At what resolutions are your images stored?
All print, film images are scanned at 600 dpi, 1200 optical resolution, color and scratch corrected for optimum quality. Digital images are archived at 300 dpi, shot in fine .jpeg format if for media, color corrected for optimum quality.
Do you have the right to license an image to me?
All of the images on this site are available for licensing. We have retained modeling releases on all models, and all concert events and other events were taken by request, and/or under press and public exhibition, subject to common media usage rules and subject to third-party clearance requirements. Many of the performers, however, are under releases. We do license images for reuse. Contact us with your inquiry and check out the licensing page for instructions. When in doubt, contact your clearance supervisor or attorney with questions.
What are the fee payment rules?
All fees are paid in full upon completion of project. Our normal terms are 50% upfront, 50% upon delivery. We accept cash, checks, or cashier checks. If you are poor, we also accept food, beer, clothing, theme park tickets, favors or anything else you might offer up to cover your bill. No credit cards are accepted at this time.
We're students/just too poor to pay your rates, do you accept any other forms of payment?
All rates are negotiable and are subject to change due to market value or other factors. Student projects or anyone who cannot afford our standard rates are always welcome to negotiate a more favorable rate or trade for equivalent value. We're always open to a trade and will often work on a barter or trade basis, if necessary. Myracleworks Pictures retains all rights and all copyright, in perpetuity, under all trade or reduced-rate circumstances. We will accomodate any budget. We know that sometimes actors or bands simply cannot afford the shoot, so we do stress that we do take barter or other forms of payment besides money. It's OK to negotiate, we're not dicks!
Do you guarantee your shoot?
Myracleworks Pictures guarantees your complete satisfaction in any shoot you purchase from us. If you are dissatisfied, we request that you give us another chance and we will reshoot for free until you are satisfied. Our goal is to give you photography you can enjoy and images you can use for your future endeavors. Our satisfaction is your satisfaction. Corny, yeah, we know, but we actually believe and execute it. If you insist upon a refund, we are happy to give refunds on any shoot, minus facility or studio/rental costs. Our photos have a proven track record of getting bands noticed, artists elevated and people moved.

We are not adverse to shooting most things, as we are not easy to offend. Some things/situations we will decline to shoot are minors, demeaning, violent or severely eccentric pornography, weddings (as a secondary photographer only), or excessively violent situations in general.

Our clientele list includes national and emerging musicians, A-list actors, emerging modeling and acting talent, and dancers of all types (classical, ballet and exotic), burlesque and fetish performers.. We work for hire, as well as are represented by an press agent.
I shot some "sensitive materials" with you - what do you do with them?
Myracleworks Pictures makes every effort to protect the privacy and integrity of any images shot. No image is publically exhibited until after the client has received and viewed the images. Public events or concerts are posted as soon as possible, subject to pre-emption by the artist management only. All film developing is held at a professional photo reprocessing lab which has intellectual property security procedures already existing and in-place. Myracleworks Pictures also vigorously enforces its copyrights around the world and retains counsel to assist in the enforcement and effectiveness of its copyrights. We reserve the right to pursue and prosecute any party infringing on our copyrights. We make every effort to guarantee the security of all images until they are delivered to you, and thereafter.
Do you have a minimum age for clients?
All models must be at least 18 years old at the time of shooting. Minors are normally never shot, unless their parent or guardian gives written permission to do so and are present during all aspects of shooting. Absolutely no child under the age of 16 is photographed for any purpose, unless an extraordinary arrangement is generated.
Do you require a release?
All models must sign our short form release prior to shooting. It is a standard release which allows all rights to be retained by Myracleworks Pictures and permits the relicensing of images if so requested. The release contains a non-standard provision which states that Myracleworks Pictures will never sell an image to any adult entertainment industry employee, agent or entity without the expressed, written permission of the model.
If I hire you for a nude shoot, will these pictures end up in porn?
No image is either sold or licensed to any person or entity catering to the adult entertainment industry without the expressed, written permission of the model. All licensing is subject to Myracleworks Pictures standard marketing interests, as we reserve the right to deny licensing or any usage of images employed in a manner not congruent to the spirit and image of Myracleworks or Myracleworks Pictures. Any and all images not shot directly for an adult entertainment industry performer or entity, shall not be licensed to such without the expressed written permission of the model.
There are many crazies and frauds in L.A., how do I know you are real and are not a pervert?
We take great pride in all of our photo shoots: all shoots are conducted with the utmost professionalism and precision, whether hosted by us or at a venue. If you feel uncomfortable for any reason, you may bring people to accompany you, as long as they will not become a distraction or cause an interference to the shoot. If, for any reason, the images do not meet our standard of production, we will always reshoot for free. We can provide you many legitimate, professional references and previous clients, where you can check to see if what we are offering and saying is true. As well, our portfolio speaks for itself.
My significant other wants to come and be present. Is this allowed?
Boyfriends/Girlfriends/significant others/family members are OK to be present at portfolio/glamour and/or lingerie shoots as long as they do not pose or cause any kind of distraction to the shoot. If a distraction or other unwanted interruption or interference occurs, the party will be asked to leave the property or may have restricted access until the project is completed. If such an interference persists beyond a reasonable time or beyond a reasonable limit, Myracleworks Pictures reserves the right to suspend the shoot with NO refund (if any photography has been taken) or with a full refund if the session has not begun yet.
Has any of your work been published?
We have been published in Rock City News, Hit Parader, L.A. I get nervous when I shoot and need a drink before and while I shoot. Is this OK?
We expect and encourage that any model or band, prior to or during shooting, will do what the need to do to stay relaxed. This makes for a smoothly running shoot, and usually better photos. Myracleworks Pictures will engage and encourage any and all means available to ensure the smooth flow of any shoot. Don't worry, not much offends us and we've seen pretty much everything - we've got stories!
Do you get nervous before a shoot/what do you do to relax before/during a shoot?
Concert shoots are sometimes stressful environments, so we definitely appreciate the shot of Jack or a cold beer prior to a shoot. Portfolio shoots or headshots are often the most difficult due to the awkwardness of the situation and the difficulty in getting the shot that matters, since chemistry and a fun environment is everything. We'll play music provided by the model or band and encourage the talent to bring whatever is necessary to make the shoot enjoyable. We don't really care about possession or use of illegal or controlled substances at shoots, we just request that if you feel the need to do that, do it prior to your arrival. No opiate-based drugs allowed at any time (including Vicodin, Oxycontin, etc.) And, no, shoes are not required to be worn during the shoot. If the talent is most comfortable wearing (or not wearing) any article(s) of clothing, we don't restrict that. Often times, the photographer will not be wearing shoes because that's what's comfortable.
Do you provide a make-up artist?
For glamour modeling shots, we normally do not provide a make-up artist, hair stylist etc., but can provide one at a discount fee, paid to them separately. We do, on occasion provide a make-up artist, at no notice to the model, since our shoots are subject to availability.
When shooting at a remote location, do you provide changing facilities?
For glamour modeling shots, sometimes we are at a location that does not have readily available changing facilities (i.e., a beach or desert shot) and cannot guarantee the existence of such facilities. In these cases, we will make every effort to ensure your privacy, but we make no guarantee that every location will have sufficient changing and privacy facilities. At some locations, we do warn that the model may be in a location where nudity will occur by others around and will warn the model prior to the shoot day.
For concert/club shoots, what do you require from the artist?
For live venue shots that an artist has hired us to do for publicity, we expect a photo clearance and all-access clearance pre-arranged and available at the door, including a complimentary ticket. Parking is not necessary to be refunded, but we appreciate it! *hint! hint!*
At what locations are you experienced in shooting?
Previous shooting locations include 20th Century Fox Studios, UPN, Summerland State Beach, Westlake Village Inn, Warner Brothers Studios, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Embassy Suites Mandalay - Oxnard, Ventura State Beach, Knitting Factory, Viper Room, Sixteen Fifty, Cinegrill, Verizon Amphitheatre, Club Lingerie, The Whisky, The Compass Rose, The Dresden, The Vermont, The Wyndam Bel Age Hotel, L'Orangerie Restaurant, Best Western Redondo Beach Inn, Belly Up Tavern, The Galaxy Theatre, Broadway Studios, Viper Room, The Roxy, Green Valley Ranch, just about every major and minor music venue between San Diego and San Francisco, and various peoples' living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and homes throughout California!
I'm a bit of an exhibitionist and I don't mind being naked during the shoot. Is this OK? OK in public?
No shoes, no shirt, better service. Ok, bad joke...just making sure you are paying attention...but that kind of describes our policy. We don't care about nudity during the shoot because we've been around it for years, so we know how to conduct ourselves (the photographer and staff, if any). We do request some discretion while in public, unless we are shooting on a location that condones nudity or public nudity. Any fines incurred due to model's willful public nudity will not be paid by Myracleworks Pictures. Fines incurred for public nudity in connection with changing clothes will be split evenly because we're not complete assholes! We want you to be comfortable however you are while shooting with us.
What does your name mean anyways? Is it religious or something?
Our name comes from the phrase "It'll be a miracle if this sh*t works!" Oh, we are not affiliated in any way with miracleworks.com, who are either really pissed at us or really happy!
